Towards the end of the year we celebrated St Andrew's Day by joining the Guides in making shortbread. In December we had a meeting where we finished off the Make Change Skillbuilder, writing letters to some elderly residents of the area, and creating a mini manifesto. The final Ranger meeting was a special one because we invited West Kirby Rangers to join us, and we were also visited by Julie Bell, the Deputy Chief Guide. We played some games to get to know each other, and Julie kindly presented the Make Change badges to Woodmouse and Woodpecker. On the 21st we joined the Guides at their Christmas Party. |
Over the 1st weekend of December we joined the District Sleepover. The weekend included making crafts and cards, following a snowman trail, baking treats, games and a sing along on Zoom, and a Girlguiding pantomime called 'Sisterhood in the Wood' to watch. This was particularly special for Kat who appeared on screen in the Pantomime. |
We've decided to make our Zoom meetings an opportunity to practice useful skills, from first aid to unblocking drains. There will also be celebrations for Chinese New Year and World Thinking Day.
Here are a couple of short videos to watch for a start (then you can practice on your Mum or anyone else you can persuade). Let us know how you get on.
