Summer time
Today is the longest day of the year. I hope that you are filling it with as much outdoor fun as possible.
Its a long time since the last blog (lots of other things needed doing) but there's time for a quick catch up now.

It was good to hear that some of you watched part of the Adventures at Home Festival, and took up the challenge of sleeping away from your bed for the night. I hear that the sofa was OK for HG, but that IG realised her childhood play-tent was no longer large enough for her. All of the videos are still available on You Tube, so if you need something different to do, consider making fudge, or be inspired by listening to how some women have overcome challenges. Learn a new magic trick, or learn some new songs at a camp fire. (click the button on the left) We have settled into a routine of joining the Guides Zoom Meeting each week, then carrying on for some Ranger Time after they have said, 'Goodbye.' At these meetings we have talked about doing some Landscape Art (see a previous blog), ways to say, 'Thank you," to people in the community, and going outside to see how many moths we can see. We are also joining the Guides in raising money to sponsor an animal at Chester Zoo. Its becoming clear that some of you will not be back at school until September, and that means a long summer without seeing your friends, and makes it difficult to stay motivated to keep up with schoolwork. Remember that talking about problems is the first step to solving them, so don't let them eat away at your insides. I hope that you are finding some of the, 'All Things Guiding' pack is proving useful. |
