Time to catch up
Hello again everyone. I hope those of you who haven't been in touch recently are keeping well, both mentally and physically. Last Saturday was the Guides' Day Camp At Home. They were very busy and sent in lots of photos during the day. Later I started receiving Ranger photos and hearing about how you spent the day. There are plenty of challenges in the booklet to keep you busy for quite a while, and they don't all have to be done outdoors.
Here's one of the challenges:
Potion ingredients hunt.
Your aim is to find natural objects (outside if at all possible).
If there’s more than one person, write this list on individual pieces of paper and put in a jar. Take out one item and you each have 30 seconds to find that item. Repeat with the other items. Score a point for each one you find in the time.
If you are on your own, you are allowed 10 mins to find as many as possible from the list.
We're looking at another Challenge Day on 23rd May, to make up for missing out on our residential weekend. Ideas for a theme and activities are welcome.
Maybe you will be planning your return to school, or some adventures for the summer out of lockdown by then.
