In September the unit opened officially with new Rangers who had moved up from Guides, some returnees, and some of the YLs.
We also had a new programme to try out.
In the autumn, as we were enjoying discussing how to make the world a better place, we began to work through the Skillbuilder 'Make Change'. We learned different ways to get our message across, and decided to hold a cake sale to raise money for the Guide HQ.
We also had a go at Landscape art and a drama exercise.
One of the highlights was when Bronnie came to visit and we joined the Guides to listen to her and have our photos taken.
At half term we joined the Guides at the Bowling Alley and Ice Cream Parlour in New Brighton.
Just before Christmas we ran the cake stall at the District Social Evening. Later that week some of us joined the Guides at the Hospital to sing carols on the wards. Afterwards we all walked to MacDonalds for Dinner.
At the Start of the Spring term we met up one afternoon to play some games and make plans for the term ahead. we also had fun designing and creating some wearable technology for the Innovate Skillbuilder.
We decided that we'd like to visit London so the younger girls can make their Promise on The London Eye.
During the term we did some planning for this, working out costs etc.
We learned to knit, and painted rocks to represent our beliefs.
Cooking, as always, played a part and we had a session with melted chocolate, although the actual activity was to carry out secret missions while we were creating and eating.
We also cooked pancakes ( with lots of toppings) the night before Pancake day.
