3 of us joined the Guide trip to Chester Zoo on 10th April. At first it was bucketing down, but later the rain stopped. With Sophie in charge of the map and route, we started in the Monkey House, and then moved to the Bat House. With the rain easing off the Guides headed for the boat trip. We didn't see any of the zoo animals, but at least the rain stopped and we could plan to see the outdoor exhibits.
Next up was the Tigers where one of the Guides and Amber chose to make their Promise. The tigers obliged by looking down from the high rock.

We then moved into the Monsoon Forest building, where Holly's sister made her promise with a turtle looking on. (Holly's photo above). We splashed through lots of puddles and stopped for lunch at the Manado Street Kitchen.
The adventure continued in the older parts of the zoo. Guides made promises by the largest snake in Europe, the flamingoes and the Giraffes. We watched the penguins being fed, and the baby elephants playing in the pond. Finally we all headed for the souvenir shop.
Here are some more of Holly's photos.
