The Autumn term
Back to normal - sort of.
We started back at indoor face to face meetings in September. We've enjoyed having time to meet up and chat each week. It's a good way to chill out from the pressures of school.
We each chose an interest badge to work on, learned some new skills, played some games, and joined in with the Guides activities a few times.
We've done some cooking (pancakes), tried to make a code wheel, practised first aid skills, redesigned teapots, and did a challenge called 'Travel like a Pro'.
With the Guides we heard about how Jackson's Animal Rescue Centre look after hedgehogs and other wildlife. We also learned how we can help, from picking up litter, to donating cat and dog food.
We celebrated Parliament Week, planted bulbs in the grounds, made stars with string and nails, and finished the term by decorating cakes. The attempt at a gingerbread house didn't quite go according to plan, but it was fun trying.
1 badge this term - First Aid level 5 awarded to Woodpecker.
